The Boss CS-3 Compression - Sustainer is a versatile compressor for electric guitar. The effect device works discreetly but effectively, just as a compressor should do. High peaks are limited while quieter passages are amplified to create a balanced and assertive sound when playing guitar.
The Attack and Sustain controls provide the right setting for every application to achieve the desired nuances. The tone control allows you to compensate for any loss of height with high compression.
In sound, the CS-3 is very balanced and round, heights are less pointed than in comparable models, the middles are more noticeable.
With more extreme settings of the boss pedal, the potential as a sustainer quickly becomes clear - held tones remain noticeably longer, which brings a lot of joy with the CS-3, especially when playing solo games.
