This wire set is ideal for connecting between different outlets around a prototyping board such as the MB-102 prototyping board or the connectors on an Arduino shield, both feature standard sockets with a pin pitch height of 2.54mm. They are solidly constructed to allow repeated use and do not require soldering to maintain a connection.
The connectors feature a square design. Unlike rounded jumper wires, the profile allows the wires to be connected to adjacent sockets without interference with nearby sockets, allowing multiple wires to be plugged side by side.
Although it comes as a tape with 40 wires, it is easy to tear off individual or groups of wires so you can adjust the size of the tape to your project. This helps prevent tangled cables that obstruct the project. Combined this with the choice of 10 colours in the ribbon makes it easy to track the source of a wire over a project.
