●MIPS: The MIPS BPS system is designed to protect the head from rotation movements (or: kinematics) when hitting different angles. Rotation movements are a combination of rotary energy (inclined speed) and rotation forces through the oblique acceleration. Both act on the head and pose the risk of minor and severe brain injuries. In the case of a helmet, the additional protection provided by the MIPS system has been proven to reduce rotational movements by absorbing and redirecting the impact energy that would otherwise hit the head.
