2. It is normal that silicone products may have some smell since vulcanizer, as the vulcaniser (a type of catalyst that plays an important role in the moulding process) is added the raw material to make the finished products more flexible. In general, most of the vulcaniser becomes volatile after shaping and the residue is gone within a few days. (The vulcanizer will not harm peoples health).
A small tip to remove the smell: keep the product in salt water for about half an hour, wash and dry, the smell will disappear.
