Trexi Paracord is a high-strength nylon cord from the ongoing production of a military supplier. It meets the Mil-Spec 5040H Type III. This means:
Highest quality control – parachute enthusiasts around the world trust our paracord 250 kg load capacity at only 4 mm in diameter. Weight approx. 6.61 g/m. The nylon used has some practical features: robust: The rope extends up to 30% under load. This ensures that all fibres are evenly stressed and used, UV-resistant, heat-resistant (melting point above 244 °C). Real paracord like that of Trexi is built from: a woven jacket with high elasticity that has only been slightly pre-shrunk at 71 °C. This coat bundles the core threads, protects them from wear and tear and allows a good grip. A core of 7 core threads which takes over 80% of the load in use. This is pre-shrunk at 93 °C and retains its dimensions. One of them is dyed (Trexi red) to make the responsible manufacturer liable in case of errors. Each core thread consists of 3 twisted multifilar single threads and carries 22 kg. Trexi paracord can withstand decades in the ground and other adverse conditions.
