Description

The womens outdoor functional rain trousers are technical, lightweight and windproof rain trousers with taped seams made from the Cox-Tex 0303WB material. The hydrostatic head is a unit of measurement to indicate the tightness of functional clothing.
- The higher hydrostatic head, the higher water pressure it withstands before moisture penetrates.
- With high-quality jackets, the seams are glued from the inside.
- Waterproof is a relative term; a breathable material can never be 100% waterproof.
- When sitting on wet ground, or wearing a backpack, high pressure is applied on the material, which can cause fabric to pass through (depending on the water column).
Breathability:
The breathability is a unit of measurement to indicate water vapour permeability of functional clothing.
- Water vapour (sweat) is released from the inside to the outside through the jacket.
- The higher water vapour permeability, the higher amount of water vapour per unit of time the fabric lets through.
- The higher temperature gradient, the higher breathability.
- During sporting activity, the body loses several litres of sweat per hour. Here even the best membrane pushes to your limit.
- If the amount of water vapour the trousers pass through exhausted, condensation liquid accumulates inside and it gives the impression that the trousers are leaking.
- Important for optimal moisture removal is also the right choice of the 1st/2nd layer of clothing (onion principle).
