The Kazan is a heavy, traditional, cast iron pot and an exact matching lid that allows you to cook, roast, stew, fry, stew and bake anywhere. Thanks to its high mass (cast iron), the fire kettle regulates uneven heat and thus allows for even cooking.

In the Kazan, dishes such as the typical Russian rice pan Plov, a Uha (fish soup) and much more can be easily succeeded. Whether its a fireplace, barbecue area or campfire, the cast iron pot is mobile and flexible. The Kazan fits ideally on a rocket stove or directly into the fire.

Info on burning.
The Kazan is already seasoned and can be used immediately. If re-burning is necessary: clean the kazan with hot water and then rub it with care oil (for example Dopfheld), a care paste (such as Dopfwunder) or alternatively with coconut oil. Place the Kazan in a kettle grill, in the fire or alternatively in your oven for an hour (note: ensure sufficient ventilation! ), a temperature of 200 degrees should be reached. Rub any remaining grease. Done! You can do this treatment every now and then so that the pores fill and the kazan is optimally protected from rust.

Cleaning/care information:
After use, you should immediately remove the ashes from the pot.
Important: do not store food residue in the pot.
Wait for the kazan to cool completely. Then hot water is enough for cleaning. Food leftovers and burnt food can be easily removed with a stainless steel ring cleaner without destroying the patina. Never use soap or harsh detergents.
After cleaning, dry the kazan, otherwise in combination with moisture, rust formation is promoted. Then rub it directly with a care paste/care oil (e.g. Dopwunder / Dopheld).

Storage info
Grease the Kazan with BBQ-Toro Dopfwunder care paste, DOPFHELD care oil or coconut oil, place a sheet of kitchen paper inside and store dry. So it can survive longer storage times.
