This spur wheel drill is made of high-speed steel for good hardness and durability for woodworking. The drill has a 1/4 inch hex shank that could fit into many electric drill chucks. The design with sharp tip could avoid slipping and simply press into the soft wood to put the drill in a to keep in. This set comes with an adjustable round drill stop that allows the drilling depth to be adjusted. There is a small L-shaped Allen key that allows you to easily adjust the drill stops.
Description:
The lip and head drill is a twist drill optimised for drilling in wood. Conventional twist drills tend to wander when exposed to a flat workpiece. For wood, the lip and forehead drill is a solution: The centre of the drill does not get the straight chisel of the twist drill, but a sharp point and sharp corners for cutting the wood. The sharp tip of the spur simply pushes into the soft wood to keep the drill in a line.
