What is PGM?
The PGMZeichen (test community wall drill) is a German certification mark that can be found on masonry drills and SDS drills all over the world.
The PGM certification body sets strict guidelines that drill bits and their manufacturers must comply with and have enough to obtain the certification stamp.
This ensures that the drill geometry is just right to form a perfect hole for the hangings. If a non-PGM certified drill is used, the hole cannot be perfectly and possibly Irregular in shape and size, which can lead to the failure of the fixing (e.g. dowels) in the hole (even if it seems that the fixing fits).
All our PGM tested SDS drill bits bear the PGM mark with the exception of the drill bits with a diameter of 5.5 mm and 6.5 mm.
