Leather is a natural material. Like any skin, leather has its own specific features. Pigment spots, vein prints or a different structure are some variants of this natural product.
Small differences in thickness and slight colour nuances can never be completely avoided in the production and processing of leather and are not a reason for complaint.
Base material is approx. 5 mm thick cowhide and calf skin, which is strengthened and durable during tanning. The first layer (the scar gap) measures between 1.3 and 2.8 mm thickness and forms the full-grain upper. The remaining layers of the leather (the gap) are used as a lining material. The water-repellent effect of the leather is achieved by the hydrophobic during the tanning process. This moisture protection requires regular refreshment through appropriate care.
