Face masks.
Through the use of face masks, damage to the face – specifically: the skin and the eyes – and then, if necessary, (over the nose) also the respiratory tract and lungs caused by noxes, such as chemicals, heat, cold, dust, splinters or too strong light (which e.g. when welding).
Protective masks are also used in the field of sports, for example, divers underwater use special diving masks. Protective masks are also used in other sports, e.g. e.g. fencing, paintball or airsoft, Lucha Libre, American football and hockey sports (goalkeeper mask). In motor sports, special fireproof masks are usually worn to protect against burns in the event of an accident.
