First determine your head circumference using a tape measure.

The helmets should fit snugly and not comfortably to start with.
You should still be able to slide your hand between the chin guard and chin.
If you can touch the helmet with your chin, the helmet does not have enough space to cushion a fall.
The helmet is true to size. However, the lining around the neck is very tight so that the helmet closes well.
However, this makes it more difficult to put on the helmet. It is best to pull the collar apart with the chin strap and pull it from top to bottom.
Pushing down from above does not work well or not at all.

If this makes you uncomfortable, choose a size larger.
