The Leatt C-Frame knee brace offers a completely new approach to support and preventing knee injuries. No orthosis can prevent all predictable injuries but Leatt laboratories and medical professionals come here with a radical design to provide even more support in preventing injuries than it can the traditional "cage type" design. During developments, the following criteria were decisive: higher comfort, lower profile under the boot reduction/elimination of excessive forces on the thigh bones, reduction/elimination of rotation forces, better knee cap protection (capella), inside of the knee closer to the bike for more control, longer lasting hinge mechanisms that mimic the natural movements of the knee joint. Orthesis is based on the 3-point force distribution and has a super stiff mono-hinge design for maximum power control. As the only joint is attached to the outside, the driver has the necessary grip on the bike with the inside of the knee. A comfortable, flat shin plate replaces the traditional shin guards for added comfort and rotational control. This plate also allows riders with strong calf muscles to wear a knee orthosis. InteliLink with double pivot points, BioLink hinge straps and sealed bearings inside better emulate the natural knee movements and have a very long service life. Ventilated thigh panels eliminate the immediate side forces that concentrate on the soft parts of the thigh. This reduces the lateral movement of the knee and helps to minimise the rotation forces.
