The Long BrusH has been designed for long beards. With an over 22cm pear wood handle and 74 tufts of pure boar bristles, this brush is ideal for long beards that require a strong grip.

When we worked with brush designers in the production of the Long Brush, we wanted to maintain the quality of a ZilberHaar brush. It should feel high quality, fit well in the hand while being durable. The Long has been specially designed for people with long beards who need a longer handle and a good "head" on bristles.

Why brush your beard?
As your beard grows, the skin under your beard produces oils (sebum) to help the beard hair grow. But the skin also renews itself and needs help to rid itself of unwanted elements.
Brushing the beard may feel uncomfortable at first. But if you do it daily, you will learn to enjoy it. When you brush your beard, activate the oil production on the face, which helps your beard become softer. Continue to brush at least once a day (but do not overdo it), so your skin and beard will be cleaned. See your brush how much you clean. Daily brushing can promote an even growth of your beard. If you brush your beard during beard growth, this prevents ingrown beard hair.

Pear woodThe pear wood comes from sustainable forests and is left to dry. To make a good beard brush, it can take up to eight weeks. The key is the correct moisture content inside the wood. |
Bundled boar bristles before tuftingThe boar bristles are hand inspected to ensure quality. They must have the right length and stiffness. Soft hair is sorted out if necessary. The bundles are then cut to the correct size. |
The handles are made of pear woodThe hand-carved, sanded and tested pear wood handles are then oiled and engraved with a lazer. Once they are done, they are forwarded to the tufting machine. The final checks are then carried out by hand. |
