Description

Product description

Scalpel foot care set - with 14 special blades for podiatry.
The special "scalpel for foot care" set includes 7 special scalpel blades for working on the foot.
1 x handle + 2 x scalpel blades no. 9, 10, 13, 15, E11, Sabre D 15 and 15T.
Brand: Swann Morton.
Scalpel #9
This distinctive, wide "incidental" blade is used in podiatry
Scalpel No. 10 + 13
The scalpel blade has a bulbous shape that allows the calluses to be removed very effectively.
Scalpel No.15
Small all-round blade for foot care.
Scalpel No. E11
The Swann-Morton Sabre E/11 blade with its closing edge technology is ideal for "peeling" or "wound excising" of dead or damaged skin during treatments in podiatry and medical foot care.
Over time, corns and calluses can develop in areas of high pressure on the feet such as the metatarsal heads, the sides and tops of the toes and heel that require regular pairing downward or scalpel debridement by a trained podiatrist. The SM figure Sabre E/11 blade is still popular with podiatrists to remove these areas of hard skin and thus minimise discomfort. The special, closed, razor-like cutting edge is ideal for this procedure.
Scalpel No. D15
The Swann-Morton Sabre D/15 blade with its unique shape and "close edge blade" technology is very popular with podiatrists and medical podiatrists.
Scalpel No.15T
The most common corn is a hard thorn (Heloma Durum). In the centre sits a hard, tapered callus cone that reaches into deeper layers of skin and causes pain when pressed. It looks like a hard, yellow mass with a white centre. Enucleation (removal of the core) of corns is a surgical technique used to reduce a corn.
