●The Si5351 is a configurable I2C watch generator that is ideal for replacing crystals, crystal oscillators, VCXOs, phase-locked loops (PLLs) and fan buffers in cost sensitive applications.

●Based on a PLL/VCXO+ high resolution MultiSynth divider architecture, the Si5351 can generate any frequency up to 160 MHz on each of its outputs with 0 ppm errors.
●The Si5351A produces up to 8 free running watches with an internal oscillator for replacing crystals and crystal oscillators.

This chip has a precise 25MHz crystal reference and internal PLL and dividers so it can produce almost any frequency, from <8KHz to 150MHz.
The Si5351A clock generator is an I2C controller clock generator. It uses the onboard precision watch to control multiple PLLs and watch separators with I2C instructions.
By setting up the PLL and the dividers, you can create precise and arbitrary frequencies. There are three independent outputs, and everyone can have a different frequency.
The outputs are 3Vpp, either via a breadboard-enabled header or for RF work via an optional SMA connection.
Put this handy little chip on your own breakout board with a 3.3V LDO controller so it can be operated from 3-5VDC.
