Note: Please note that this HDMI splitter does not have EDID management function. If you connect a whole range of devices, your HDMI source will deliver a compatible signal. It is ensured that this signal can handle both devices. However, it may happen that a worse device prevents a better output.
Examples:
To output 3D, both devices must support 3D. To output 5.1 sound, both devices must be able to process the 5.1 sound format. For output HDR, both devices must be able to process HDR.
If you want optimal output for a main unit, and you can do without audio or video on the second device, we recommend the use of the FeinTech VSP01201 splitter.
The following restrictions are in principle:
The same content is output or mirrored on both outputs. With a notebook or PC as a source, an extended desktop is not possible, both displays show the same. (You need a graphics card with 2 outputs, a splitter is not enough). The HDMI-CEC control can only be done via a TV to output 1. HDMI CEC must be disabled on TV 2. The audio return channel HDMI-ARC cannot be transmitted by a splitter. Regular image resetters are caused by device communication. Then please turn off CEC, automatic update search, auto wake-up etc. on the displays. Irregular image resets are usually caused by too high attenuation in the HDMI cable (too long or too low diameter) or external interference sources.
