Helpful hints and troubleshooting tips:
If your system is not booting, check the following:
1. If you receive an error message or hear a series of beeps, the system may not detect the new memory. Remove the modules and reinstall them to ensure they sit firmly in the slots.
2. If your system cannot boot, check all connections within your computer. It is easy to bump and pull a cable out of the connector, disabling devices such as the hard drive or CD-ROM.
3. When restarting the system, a message may appear asking you to update the configuration settings. The memory upgrade requires the support of the computer system as a requirement. If the system version is too low, the memory may not be detected or cannot be started after installation.
4. If a non-match memory message is displayed, follow the instructions for going to the setup menu and then select Save and Exit. (This is not an error, some systems need to do this to update the system settings.)
5. If it does not work on your devices, gently clean the connecting figure (golden finger) with an eraser.
