Our ASA improves weather resistance compared to ABS with high UV resistance and retains all mechanical properties. The spherical particles made of lightly crosslinked acrylate rubber (instead of ABS butadiene rubber) work like an impact modifier, are chemically refined with styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer chains and embedded in styrene-acrylonitrile matrix. Acrylate rubber differs from butadiene based rubber due to the lack of double compounds, which provides the material about ten times more weather resistance and UV resistance of ABS, higher long-term heat resistance and better chemical resistance. ASA is significantly more resistant to cracking due to ambient voltage than ABS. It has a lower glass transition temperature and offers the material better properties at low temperature. ASA is characterised by high weather resistance outdoors, while maintaining shine, colour and mechanical properties. It has good chemical and heat resistance, high brightness, good anti-static properties, sturdy and stiff.

Our ASA filament (1.75 mm or 2.85 mm) is a Spain-made filament for 3D printers with FFF/FDM technology.
