Sisal rope from Kanirope - manufactured from the best and very light in colour madagascar yarn. Sisal is the name for fibers from the leaves of agave, especially from the sisal agave (Agave Sisalana). In harvesting process the leaves are cut at the growing point and bundled. In the process of fiber extraction the leaves are separated from their texture, combed and beaten. The received spun fiber yarn is classically used for production of ropes, twines and general cordage. Sisal ropes are valued especially for resistance to abrasion. Sisal ropes are weather-dependent and rot away with time in the open. Depending on the surrounding humidity the rope length may change: if it is humid-the rope becomes shorter, if it is dry- it becomes longer. Resistance to abrasion: very high. Non- floatable in water. Subsequent impregnation with fire protection means is possible. Subsequent colouring is possible (f.e. with textile colour).
