What is the range and how stable is the radio transmission?
VOCOMO AirX radio systems send in the 2.4GHz band with external antennas and penetrate walls and other obstacles better than systems in the 5GHz band. The range is up to 100 m outdoors and 20 m indoors, whereby walls/ceilings can also be in between. Thanks to a self-learning, adaptive frequency jumping process, the transmission optimises itself to the radio environment and sends in the best available channels.
How is the measurement system of my AV receiver clear with surround speakers connected via AirX?
If your AV receiver has an automatic measurement system, we recommend using it with a VOCOMO AirX radio system For the measurement system, it does not matter whether the speakers are connected by cable or AirX. However, if previously connected speakers with AirX are connected by cable, the measurement must be carried out.
If your AV receiver does not have a measurement system, add to the physical distance of the AirX speakers 6.5 m and compare the levels as described in the instructions of the AV receiver.
Can I really connect an AirX system to any AV receiver, even if it doesnt have preamp outputs?
Yes. Unlike many other products, VOCOMO AirX transmitters have both inputs for preamp signals, as well as the ability to receive signals directly from the speaker output of your AV receiver.
