The different types of plaster
The wound plaster is never wrong and available in a wide range of sizes. Some are extra adhesive intensive and also suitable for sports. A normal plaster does not stick for a long time when you start to sweat. The plaster strips are particularly skin-friendly and cushion a smaller wound.
Even better suited are cohesive (stretchy) plasters. These are wrapped once or twice around the finger over the wound and thus apply pressure to the wound. These do not stick to the skin or hair, but only stick to themselves, so they are very suitable in the joint area.
For small wounds that have a low depth, the wound seam strips are used. These are sufficient for uncomplicated wounds and at the same time an alternative to surgical wound seam.
The spray patch is a great development because it disinfects a wound in seconds. This means that the wound is protected from dirt and bacteria and the skin can continue to breathe freely.
However, these possibilities are only for Bagatelle injuries, which can be used at home. For larger wounds that bleed more, you need to use bandages or even pressure dressings.
It is also important to change a plaster regularly so that the bacteria that have accumulated on the plaster disappear. Overnight, it is best to do without a plaster for minor injuries, so that the skin gets enough air to breathe and the wound heals faster.
