FetHead filter is a high quality, phantom powered in-line preamp. It has the addition of a built-in high pass filter at 220 Hz cutoff (other frequencies are available on request), this reduces the excessive low frequency/proximity effects that some microphones exhibit, such as long motor ribbon mics.
