These amplifiers have several significant advantages over standard operational amplifier types in single supply applications.
They can be operated with supply voltages of only 3.0 V or up to 32 V, with resting currents that are about one fifth of the MC1741 (per amplifier).
The DC input range includes the negative supply, eliminating the need for external pre-voltage components in many applications.
The output voltage range also includes the negative supply voltage.
