Safety valve / pressure gauge
The safety valve of the pressure cooker automatically checks the internal pressure. When the inner pressure of the cooker rises, the valve post lifts and the red cap appears out of the hole in the handle. When the inner pressure of the cooker falls to a safe level, the valve lowers visibly This means that you can recognise that it is safe to open the lid.
For safe operation, the safety valve automatically releases excess pressure. If the lid is not securely locked, the internal pressure does not rise and the safety valve releases the steam pressure. In this case, simply turn off the heat source and lock the lid correctly.
