Description

The dismantling of the "Belgian chunk" in the Belgian Ardennes began in the first half of the 17th century. Millions of finest garnets (gemstones) of just 5-15 microns are stored in the natural stone. Garnet is the fourth hardest gemstone after the diamond, corundum (sapphire, ruby) and topaz. These fine grains dissolve from the "matrix" when sharpening, and together with clay slate and water form a precious sharpening paste. The hardness of the garnet ensures rapid abrasion of the steel and the unique shape of the grenade provides an excellent polish without grading. Sharpen easily – carbon steels, damascus steels, powder metallurgical and high-performance steels.
