It was fast. Now weve made it even more forgiving. Building on the success of fast manufacturing of the original 60X Carbon Twist Face, the new design features an improved version of Inverted Cone technology to maintain ball speed on off-center hits and increase error tolerance.
Compared to the original Carbonwood, Stealth 2 HD has almost twice the amount of carbon. It is constructed from a new carbon reinforced composite ring and together uses more of the lightweight material than any driver in the TaylorMade history. Our advanced application of carbon allows the mass to be re-distributed for greater tolerance and stability.
Our team of engineers obsessed about creating the perfect sound with Stealth 2 HD, even at the carbon sole thickness up to the millimetres. But we didnt stop. We have used a combination of curvature, shape, and internal stiffening ribs to fine tune the acoustics and deliver a sound profile that is both bright and powerful.
Engineers used weight savings through the full body carbon construction and shifted the inertia generator closer to the heel, allowing us to maintain tensile bias and extreme MOI. Stealth 2 HD is the most stable and forgiving driver in the family.
