With current bicycle lighting, the bicycle headlight is already equipped with the necessary connection cables (double cable) and the installation of the lighting is therefore easy. Mainly the short double cable is the connection to the rear light, while the long double cable leads to the dynamo. If necessary, both double cables must be extended. Corresponding double cables can be purchased in retailers.

Note: A closed circuit usually includes at least one electrical source and at least one consumer (device or component). Lines connect the source to the consumer.

Installation instructions (English language not guaranteed) –

When wiring the bicycle lights, always pay attention to the correct polarity. All double core cables consist of a black wire (power) and a black and white wire (ground). The components of the bicycle light are always marked with corresponding symbols to facilitate the polarity and thus assembly.

- Always connect MINUS (= ground) to MINUS.

- Always connect PLUS (= power) with PLUS.

Check the wiring of the lighting system in advance for defects or poor condition. If necessary, this must be replaced. Attach the rear light to the mounting plate provided on the pannier rack of your bike. Now connect the headlight to the tail light. As mentioned, make sure that the live cable (black wire) connects the connections to the live symbols of the components. All components (dynamo, hub dynamo, headlight, rear light) are marked with corresponding symbols. Often a corresponding double cable is already mounted on the headlight, which you can distinguish in the different colours of the cores. Using the headlights live cable, the rear light also receives the signal to turn on. It may be necessary to extend the existing cables. It should also be noted that the handlebar impact of the bicycle may require a few centimetres of cable.

On the underside of the rear light you will find the contact contacts (+ and -), which are connected to the dynamo using a double cable. The bare end of the corresponding wire (approx. 1.2 cm) must now be equipped with a matching blade receptacle (cable lug) - ideally fully insulated. Now insert the mounted blade receptacle (cable lug) via the right contact tongue in the rear light. Repeat the process with the second wire.

Now perform a test ride where you also check the function of the rear light after pressing the front light switch.

Now your bike is ready for the next ride in the dark.
