Description

The tolerances of diesel engines injectors are measured in microns and the latest engines inject fuel with pressure over 30,000 psi (207 kPa). Under such conditions, the smallest dirt and water particles can attack and corrode the precision components, resulting in engine, activity and economic loads. Racor Turbine Water Separators have excellent efficiency in removing water both loose and emulsified water, low fuel flow limit, and high dirt absorption capacity. At the heart of the system consists of the three phases of coalescence and filtration based on the patented Aquabloc filter element. Step 1 - Separation: When the fuel enters the filter group, it moves by juicing the turbine (firm) and there are large drops of water falling on the bottom of the drip tray. Phase 2 - Calcency: Small drops of water settle on the surface of the conical membrane and the cartridge element. If they are heavy enough, they fall to the bottom of the collection bell. Stage 3 - Filtration: the unique Aquabloc cartridge elements repel water and remove solid impurities from the fuel with an efficiency of 98% of their filtration. The water collected on the surface of the element forms into larger drops that fall into the drip tray. Only the original Racor cartridge filter elements are equipped with Aquabloc high-tech filter medium for maximum engine protection.
