The black enamel is mainly used in cast iron pans. It is a little rougher than the bright enamel. Continuous use creates a patina (protective layer), which is not used with detergents etc. should be removed. The patina improves the frying properties and ensures a better release of the food.
Cast iron cookware can be used on all standard hob types, whether electric, gas or ceramic hobs. Due to the magnetic properties of the cast iron, it is also ideal for induction cookers. The diameter of the heat source should not be larger than that of the cookware. The roasting trays can also be used in the oven, so that even during the cooking process the heat source can be changed as desired.
All products without wooden handle are dishwasher safe. However, in order to maintain the shine of the enamel in the long term, it is recommended to wash by hand. The cookware should be cool a little first and then cleaned with hot rinsing water, a soft nylon brush or a soft sponge. For particularly stubborn food residues, it is recommended to boil a tablespoon of baking soda with water in the cookware. To prevent rust on the edge, cast iron dishes should always be dried and never stored damp.
