How to Replace a Bandsaw Tyre
1. Disconnect the band saw, loosen the saw blade tension and remove the blade. Then remove the band saw wheel.
2. After removal, completely remove or cure the old tyre and any residue left behind.
3. Slide part of the tyre onto the wheel rim and then slide a short bar or tube between the tyre and the wheel. Roll the tube around the rim once to balance the elasticity of the tyre.
4. Press a small amount of glue on a brush and apply it to the tyre and wheel surface. Roll and repeat all the way around the rim. Let the adhesive dry for 24 hours before using the saw again.
