Since 01 January 2021, according to French road traffic regulations require the obligation to mark heavy vehicles with a permissible total weight over 3.5 tonnes (excluding agricultural and forestry vehicles, winter service or other emergency vehicles) on the sides and rear with warning signs representing the dangers of the blind spot. The other road users are warned of the blind spot sticker (French: angles morts). The legal basis for this is article R.313-32-1 of the French road traffic code de la route.
