Installation box for the auxiliary heater Autoterm Air 2D 2KW

Stainless steel mounting box for mounting the Autoterm Air 2D 2KW auxiliary heater (formerly Planar 2D) under the vehicle (underfloor). The heater box protects the air heating from external influences such as splashes of water and dirt. In addition to the openings for the air intake of the combustion chamber, the fuel line, and for the exhaust pipe, the installation box also has 2 openings for connecting a 60 mm hot air hose to the air inlet and outlet of the heater.

Dimensions: L 34.2 x W 14.4 x H 12.6 cm.
Openings for hot air hose: diameter 68 mm.

Installation instructions:

As each vehicle is different and the exact installation location may vary, the installation box does not have pre-made screw holes for mounting on the vehicle body. You can choose the attachment points yourself. Alternatively, the installation box can also be used with the mounting bracket (item 62829). If you mount the installation box tilted on the side, make sure that the wiring harness must point upwards with a tilted Autoterm heater. A laterally tilted position where the harness is not facing upwards is not permitted and causes problems with the combustion process, as in such a position the glow plug would be doused with diesel.

The installation box has been specially designed for the heater of the Autoterm Air 2D 2KW air heater. To avoid unnecessary returns, please compare the dimensions and position of the connections for the air intake and the exhaust pipe in your auxiliary heater. If your heater has larger dimensions, check out the installation box for the Autoterm Air 4D 4KW (item 69005), as this is slightly larger.
