Description

Sauna menthol crystals 200 g.

Crystalline menthol has numbing properties, relieves irritation of the throat and blockages of the mucous membranes. It shows bacteria-killing effect, supports the body in infections, but also asthma and allergies. The intense aroma relieves headaches and sinus pains, relaxes and relieves tension. Used externally, crystalline menthol has the ability to activate receptors in the skin - especially those that are sensitive to cold. When applied, it expands the blood vessels at the application site and heats up, which significantly supports the regeneration processes.

Properties and origin of menthol menthol crystal is a product of natural origin. It is in the form of a white solid and has a characteristic mint aroma. Its melting point is between 42 and 44 degrees Celsius. Menthol is poorly water-soluble, but dissolves well in organic solvents. In nature, it is contained in the oils of field mint, peppermint and essential oils of other plants. On an industrial scale, it is extracted from the oil by a freezing process - after cooling the oil, the resulting menthol crystals are centrifuged.
