With the BDR-212DBK, Pioneer presents a fast BD burner. BD-R describes the burner at 16x speed, BD-R DL with up to 14x. BD-RE (Blu-ray Disc rewritable) media can be written at up to 2x the speed. In addition to Blu-ray media, DVDR blanks can also be burned at up to 16x speed (DVDR DL with 8x) and read at up to 16x speed. Furthermore, the BDR-212DBK offers M-DISC support.
