1. Place the chainsaw face towards you on a flat surface. Position the tool on the saw with the side adjusting screws on side A. Make sure these are solved. |
2. Insert the carbide cutter into the guide and align it with a chain cutter. |
3. The carbide should now be inserted into the guide. the tool must oscillating on the carbide. Find a balance point where none of the ends of the tool touches the chain, and fix this position by tightening the 4 screws on the outside. |
4. Remove the carbide, pull the chain forward to check if it moves freely through the tool. If not, repeat step 3 and find the right balance point. |

5. Insert the ear back into the guide and sprocket wheel. Tighten the middle side to adjust the pressure on the front through the ellipse of the stud spring to keep the chain vertical if needed. |
6. Tighten the rear thumb screw until the locking latch presses against the sprocket. |
7. Remove the carbide and tighten the thumb screw about 1/4 turn (this setting controls the amount of material removed from the chain tooth). Turn the handle and press the carbide completely into the tooth. |
8. Take out the carbide and move the chain forward to sharpen the next tooth. The wing screw should not be adjusted. This ensures that all teeth are equally sharp, making the entire chain even and accurate. |
