About Teak
A precious wood with its own character.
Teak wood shines above all thanks to its cultural uniqueness and makes each piece unique. The teak tree, from which the wood is obtained, is native to many parts of Southeast Asia.
Teak wood can be processed well due to its not too soft and not too heavy texture and offers a particularly straight fibre structure. In addition, it does not swell up so easily and is therefore quite resistant to direct contact with water and ground.

What happens when you combine your passion for Asia with furniture?
We are Martin and Matthias, the foundering brothers of the Asia home studio. We are two true Asian fans. During our study period, we fell in love with the warmth of the people in Asia.
Our passion should quickly become a profession. It started with the natural filling material Kapok, which is used in the Thai mats we offer. Soon, a wealth of products that originate especially in Southeast Asia followed soon. We have expanded our range of solid Thai cabinets to traditional teak or rattan decorations to Albesia furniture from Bali. So we want to bring people closer to the variety of Asian culture.
Meanwhile, many years have passed and we can be proud to offer authentic and handmade furniture for Asia-oriented individualists who want to move from mass manufacturing to charming unique pieces. Thats what our customers love it.
