The power capacitor is a power intermediate storage. If necessary, e.g. with strong bass pulses, it releases its charge and recharges in the remaining time until the next pulse. Due to the low internal resistance, this process is very fast and can also be carried out as often as desired. The result is an almost constant power supply to the car Hi-Fi system. The power amplifiers can work optimally, as the full on-board voltage is available. The even load on the battery increases its service life. The effect of the capacitor is also dependent on the length and cross section of the supply lines. We generally recommend the use of at least 20 mm² power cable and a maximum cable length to the power amplifier of 30 cm. For systems with multiple power amplifiers, each amplifier should have its own capacitor, especially if the total power of the system exceeds 1000 watts. If only one capacitor is used, it should be connected to the largest power amplifier. The model is equipped with safety electronics for charging, discharge and reverse polarity. The power coupling of this capacitor takes place instead of a remote line via "intelligent" switching electronics.

The capacitor is designed for on-board power supply voltages of 12 volts, but also in the event of a lima regulator defect on the vehicle at a voltage of approx. 18 volts not a "dangerous bomb", as there is an overload protection (20V).
