The first saxonette was presented at the automotive show in Berlin in 1937. Produced from 1938 to 1940 by various manufacturers under licence. The second series of the Saxonette was launched in 1987 under the Hercules label. This lightweight mofa was manufactured with the type 301 built-in motor from Fichtel & Sachs up to 2011.
For drum brakes, brake pads rub onto a cylindrical surface (the drum). When the brake is actuated, the brake shoes are pressed against the surrounding drum from the inside and thus brake the vehicle. These brake shoes must be renewed when they reach the wear limit. This set includes a 90 x 18mm brake shoe pair including spring.
