A new generation of axes for splitting wood. Master blacksmith Lars Enander developed an axe with the aim of facilitating splitting wood and increasing the life of such an axe. The result is impressive: a wide axe head with concave profile pushes the wood apart when splitting with minimal wood touch. The axe handle made of high-quality hickory wood has been equipped with a steel handle guard to reduce the wear and tear caused by the handle accidentally hitting the wood. The handle guard is pressed onto the handle and simultaneously onto the axe head with a pressure of about two tonnes. Do not use this axe as a hammer or wedge. Thats what the splitting hammer is for!
