The patent pending Redshift Sports 2 position seat post allows you to switch your saddle between a normal road bike position and a time riding position as set up on a triathlon bike. The steeper effective angle between the saddle and tube bar opens their hip angle and maintains adequate leg extension, which makes you drive comfortably and powerfully in the time driving position. Driving a long flat track with headwind? Slide the saddle forward and lay in the aerodynamic time driving position that slacks the wind a snipp. Are you tormenting yourself on a steep climb? Slide the saddle back and conveniently switch to the road wheel position. The seat post is designed to maintain the same distance between saddle and pedal in both positions, ensuring adequate leg extension in the road bike and time driving position. Because some riders prefer more forward tilt of the saddle while riding in the aerodynamic time driving position, the seat post also has an additional adjustment that tilts the saddle up to five degrees forward when you switch from road bike to time driving position. The mechanism is completely stable in both positions - a spring-loaded stop keeps it securely in place until you decide to change your position. The 2-position seat post - in combination with the Redshift Sports quick release aero handlebar grips (not included). - Takes you into a truly integrated aerodynamic time driving position without affecting your normal road bike construction. The seat post is constructed from aviation grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. The tube has a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. With clamps (not included), the seat post can be adjusted to fit bicycles with larger seat tube diameter. The seat post is suitable for saddles with round 7mm standard seat frame. The seat post weighs 400 g including all components.
