Description

Decorated, handmade toggle bit in a beautiful baroque look.

A thigh snaffle or toggle snaffle is very similar to a water snaffle in its mouth (i.e. on the tongue and load). The legs and this is a great advantage from our point of view ensure a smoother guidance of the bit at the corners of the mouth and can thus make the reins aids more understandable for the horse.

You also prevent without question that the bit cannot be pulled through the mouth in case of possible stronger influences (as they should not actually occur) and thus cause injuries.

Therefore, thigh bridles are the bits that belong to our favourites.

- 5 sizes always measured inside.

- Made of polished steel in 2 colours: gold and silver.

- Thickness: approx. 12-13 mm measured at the outer end of the mouthpiece.

Total length of the legs/toggle: 130 mm.

Box contents: 1 piece. Bridle

The bit is the connection between the riders hand and the sensitive horses mouth. In order to make it easier for your horse to recognise the given aids, you should note a few points:

1. The good condition of the horses mouth

- The jaw angles/loading must not be sore.

- Hooking, sharp corners on the teeth or toothache require a vet to be consulted.

- Certain bits with great tongue freedom are not suitable for some palate shapes.

2. A bit in good condition. Suitable for the training level and physical skills (muscles and jointness) of your horse. It is not useful to demand something impossible for the horse.

You need to choose the right bit size:
- Too small, it pinches and can hurt the corners of the mouth.
- Too large, it does not have the desired precise effect. The bit must lie in the corners of the mouth so that the root of a fold forms.
