Description

Pelhams can be used with one or two pairs of reins, resulting in multiple buckling options.
If the reins are buckled in the bridle ring, the pelham only acts on the tongue and lower loads. If horses tend to rip their heads up, it makes sense to buckle a reins in the ring on the undertree because then pressure is applied to the neck. The horse tries to avoid this pressure by lowering the head. So that the horse does not get too deep, the chin chain should work at a maximum of 45° (lower boom to the mouth gap).
