For several generations, the toy manufacturer Vah in Bavaria has been manufacturing toys from natural materials. In the small factory, small masterpieces are created over time, made of wood, leather and fabric. With a loving view of details and the special sense of quality, history can be experienced.

Wood, a gift of nature

Made from regional woods and with a lot of heart and passion, you can create great companions for every imaginable adventure.

Choosing the right wood is the basis of traditional craftsmanship. The tree trunks are barked, sawn and dried.

Only now can the wood, in our factory, be processed into a sword.

Many parts, one sword

The following steps are sawn from the wood, the many individual parts of the sword. Thanks to the grinding and milling, the detailed shapes and embellishments are produced. The individual parts are then glued together and the sword is created.

The finishing touch

In the final step, the sword becomes a real adventurer. The handle is wrapped with a cotton braided yarn. The embossing of the sword is created by a fire stamp and turns a sword into a distinctive Vah sword.

Careful handling of the environment and resources has always been a concern for us.

We mainly process beech wood from sustainably managed domestic forests. Due to short transport routes, we try to keep the strain on the environment and the climate as low as possible. Most of our products are made of untreated wood, without chemical additives. Wood and leather residues are recycled again to process the natural resources as possible. Where possible, we have avoided plastic packaging from the beginning. Most of our items are sturdy enough to be delivered unpacked and durable enough to give children a long time of enjoyment.
