From the manufacturer

AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A Male to Mini B Male

The most common stable connection

Take advantage of all your USB devices at full power with this AmazonBasics USB 2.0 cable with gold-plated connectors (A and Mini B connectors)

As USB 2.0 is widely used to connect different devices, such as external hard drives, printers, digital cameras and more, you can maximize the performance of your peripherals with this USB 2.0 cable. The cable is also backwards compatible for devices with older USB versions - these can also be connected to the cable.

What you can connect.

This cable has a standard USB type A connector on one end and a USB type Mini-B connector on the other. For example, you can connect the Type A connector to your computer and connect the Mini-B connector to a device with a Mini-B socket. Devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players, digital cameras and digital camcorders often have a Mini-B type connector.

Strong and durable

STURDY AND GOLD PLATED CONNECTORS - With this USB 2.0 cable, you can connect your devices over and over again without losing signal.

Details:

  • Sturdy gold plated connectors
  • Backward compatible
  • Full USB 2.0 function / 480 Mbps transfer speed.

USB version numbers:

There are different version numbers (1.0, 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0). These numbers refer to the transmission speed. The higher the version number, the higher the speed. To achieve this speed, however, host device, cable and terminal device must have all this version number. If this is not the case, the element with the weakest USB version determines the speed.

Example: If your computer has a USB 2.0 port, your USB 3.0 cable and your smartphone also USB 3.0, then you will reach the speed of USB 2.0. Only if all three elements (computer, cable and smartphone) have USB 3.0, you will reach the speed of USB 3.0.
