The Curve Tracer instrument in WaveForms allows multiple devices in the Analog Discovery family to draw characteristics of common devices such as diodes, NPN and PNP transistors, and P and N type FETs. The Transistor Tester is connected to Analog Discovery and allows use without the need to set up a reference circuit, similar to a conventional characteristic curve writer. Unlike traditional Kennlinine writers, WaveForms runs on a computer and delivers measurements, cursors and graphics with the click of a mouse.
When Analog Discovery and Transistor Tester are selected, the Curve Tracer Instrument provides the appropriate reference resistors. Characteristics can be easily displayed and cursors can be added to make the required measurements. The adapter is equipped with a 2x15 socket that can be plugged directly into the analogue discovery. Test objects can be connected directly or via connection cables to the terminal blocks of the transistor tester.
