1. MIC 1: Standard XLR female for microphones
2. GAIN 1: Adjust the gain for the microphone signal at MIC 1. The gain controls have an LED to confirm the signal level. Green indicates an input level of at least -20 dBFS (signal available), the ring then glows yellow at -6 dBFS to indicate that the signal is about to overdrive, and finally red at 0 dBFS (digital oversteering).
3. 48 V: Switch for phantom power of the microphone input - activates the 48V phantom power on the XLR socket.
4. LINE/INST 2 - 1/4 inch: TRS jack socket for connecting instruments (unbalanced) or line level (balanced).
5. GAIN 2: Sets the gain for the line/instrument signal on LINE/INST 2.
6. HI-Z: Instrument/line level switch for LINE/INST 2 - switches gain for instrument or line level signals. "HI-Z" lights up when instrument mode is selected.
7. Output: Main monitor output level control - adjusts the output level at the outputs on the back and the headphone output on the front.
8. USB LED: Lights up when the device is powered by the USB bus and is confirmed by the computer that it is connected and working properly.
9. Direct monitor: Selects the monitoring of input signals (mixed with the DAW output) directly from the inputs (ON) or via the DAW (OFF).
10. 1/4 inch: TRS Output Socket If your headphone has a 1/4" TRS jack, connect it directly; if it has a 3.5mm TRS "mini jack", use a TRS 1/4" to 3.5mm jack adapter. Note that headphones with 4 pin TRRS connectors are unlikely to work properly.
11. USB 2.0 port - Type-C connection: Connect the device to your laptop or computer via the included USB cable.
12. Line outputs: Left and right - 2 x 1/4" (6.35 mm) TRS jacks; +10 dBu output level (variable), electronically balanced. You can use either 1/4 inch TRS (balanced connection) or TS (unbalanced connection) jack plugs.
13. Power supply: Choose USB power supply or external DC 5V as local power source.
14. DC 5V: External power supply connection
