Description

The KNX IP Secure Interface (2 TE) enables KNX systems to meet the current maximum possible security standard in terms of IP communications. The device authenticates and encrypts KNX and IP telegrams. A potential attacker on the IP side, e.g. from the Internet or intranet, does not recognize any content in the KNX-IP telegrams. The telegram rate limit, max. Telegram lengths of up to 248 bytes and bus performance up to 49 telegrams per second, optimizes use when accessing logics and visualizations. The OLED display simplifies diagnosis during operation and commissioning. The time synchronized via NTP is output as a KNX bus message via an additional application. The time is buffered for up to 36 hours in the event of a power failure, so that the bus time is immediately available when voltage recurs. In addition, the application offers a "mapper". This allows you to connect Unsecure to Secure Group Addresses. In modern systems, new Secure devices are connected to older devices.
