The cd-ih202 cable kit is an "all-connection designed for use with AppRadio mode compatible Pioneer receivers that have an HDMI input. The set includes a 2-metre automotive standard HDMI cable that handles all audio and video transfer between Pioneer products and an iPhone, a 1.5 metre pins to USB cable for charging, cord wrapper to keep the bands neatly organised.
When used with a compatible Pioneer in-dash receiver and a corresponding Apple Lightning adapter (Lightning accessories, the cd-ih202 cable set for iPhone users access and control select iPhone apps via AppRadio mode (formerly known as Advanced App Mode) as well as playback and control music and videos stored on the iPhone on the receivers touchscreen display.
Full compatibility between AppRadio mode and iPhone, a Pioneer firmware update is required.
