2 in 1 multi-use roasting pan and pan made of enamelled cast iron

Cast iron is one of the oldest materials in cookware. It is equally used for pans, roasting pans and saucepans and is exceptionally good for stewing and roasting meat. By frying with high heat, the food retains its aroma and can then be gently cooked on low heat. Enamel resembles a glass-like protective layer that protects the backing material from corrosion and changes in temperature. Enamel products also score points in terms of health. As the composite material is made of natural materials, no harmful substances are released. Cast iron cookware whose surface is sealed with enamel, is significantly easier to maintain than raw, unsealed and baked cast iron. Enamelled cast iron will also not rust as long as the enamel layer is intact. Cast iron pots have been appreciated by hobby and professional chefs alike for decades.

Tips for care:

Let the cookware cool slowly. Keeping a hot pot under cold water provides a temperature shock when cast iron and can damage or even destroy it. Cast iron cookware should always be washed by hand. We do not recommend cleaning in the dishwasher. There may be damage to the enamel when water at the top penetrates behind the enamel layer. For cleaning, you can use soapy water and a washing brush. Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaners. For strong food residues, you can let the pot soak for some time. After washing, you should always dry the enamelled cookware thoroughly. The top edge is not enamelled, which is why the cast iron is free. After washing, put a few drops of oil on your fingers and rub the edge with it - this extends the life of your cookware.
